Vehicles

Add fleet vehicles, assign trackers, and manage schedules, expenses, and photos.

What is a vehicle?

A vehicle is a record representing one road-going unit in your fleet—a truck, van, ute, or car. It stores the identifying details your team recognises, such as registration, make, model, and VIN.

The vehicle record is separate from the tracker fitted to it. The record is the thing you name, report on, and schedule maintenance against; the tracker is the hardware that supplies its location. Equipment that is not a road vehicle belongs in Assets instead.

Add and find vehicles

Open Fleet → Vehicles to manage vehicles in your organisation. Search the list by details such as registration, make, model, or VIN.

  1. Select Add vehicle and enter the identifying and operational details.
  2. Assign an available tracker so location and telemetry can be associated with the vehicle.
  3. Save the vehicle, then open its row to review the complete record.

The detail page brings together core fields, assigned tracker information, latest telemetry, and images. Use the image manager to upload photos; the primary image appears on the vehicle list.

Enable map access

Subscription access is normally tied to the active tracker allocation. On pay-as-you-go plans, use credits from the Vehicles page to enable map access for a time window before selecting Show on the live map.

Visibility and permissions

Create, edit, and delete are separate permissions. Group-restricted users only see vehicles included in one of their visibility groups.
