Drivers

Maintain driver identity, licence, contact, and employment information.

What is a driver?

A driver is a record representing a person who operates your fleet. It holds the operational details your team needs: name, employee number, licence information, contact details, and status.

A driver is not a login. Driver records are fleet data used for context and reporting, while a user is someone who signs in to Trakngo. The same person may be both, or either one on its own.

Manage driver records

Open Fleet → Drivers to keep the people operating your fleet in one searchable register. Driver records are organisation data and are separate from user accounts used to sign in.

Add or update a driver

  1. Select the add action and enter the driver’s name and employee number.
  2. Add contact and licence details used by your operations team.
  3. Set the appropriate status, then save the record.

Open an existing row to correct expired details, changed contact information, or employment status.

Use drivers in reports

Where driver data is available, the report builder can filter results by driver. Keeping names, employee numbers, and assignments current makes those filters meaningful.

Permissions and groups

Viewing, creating, editing, and deleting drivers are separate permissions. Drivers may also be limited by visibility-group membership.
