Live map and tracking
Find vehicles and assets, inspect their status, and replay recent movement.
What is the live map?
The live map shows the most recent reported position of your tracked vehicles and assets. A tracker works out where it is using GPS satellites, then sends that position to Trakngo over the mobile network.
“Live” therefore means most recently reported, not continuously streamed. Positions update on a reporting interval, and a device out of mobile coverage stores positions until it can upload them. Replay redraws that stored history so you can see where something travelled earlier.
Open the fleet map
Select Home to open the full-screen map. The floating Vehicles & assets panel is your starting point for finding an entity and controlling what appears on the map.

Drag the header to move the panel.
Find and show an entity

Search the list
Search by registration, asset name, tracker serial number, or VIN. Clear the search to return to the full list.

Select Show
Select Show beside a vehicle or asset to place its latest available position on the map. Select Hide to remove it.

Open the entity
Select the entity row to open its detail view. Use the back arrow in the panel header to return to the list.
Understand map access
An entity needs current map access before it can be shown. On a subscription this is usually included for active trackers. With a pay-as-you-go plan, enable access from the relevant Vehicles or Assets page using your organisation’s credits.
If Show is unavailable, check the entity’s tracker assignment and its map-access expiry before troubleshooting the map itself.
Replay recent movement
1. Select an entity and open Replay
The Replay tab loads route history for the selected vehicle or asset.
2. Choose whether to show the trail
Leave Show trail on map selected to keep the route visible behind the replay marker.
3. Control playback
Use Play, Pause, and Stop. Drag the progress control to move directly to another point in the replay.
About vehicle Actions
The Actions tab currently demonstrates remote-command responses locally. Do not rely on those controls for a real vehicle command unless Trakngo support has confirmed that command delivery is enabled for your installation.
