Assets
Track non-vehicle equipment and manage its details, access, schedules, and costs.
What is an asset?
An asset is any piece of equipment you want to track that is not managed as a road vehicle. Trailers, generators, plant, containers, and other mobile equipment are all assets.
Assets work much like vehicles: each one is a record that can have a tracker, appear on the map, and carry schedules and expenses. The separation exists because assets are described differently—they have no registration or driver—and you usually want them reported on separately.
What belongs in Assets?
Use Fleet → Assets for tracked equipment that is not managed as a road vehicle—for example trailers, generators, plant, containers, or other mobile equipment.
Add an asset
- Select Add asset and enter a recognisable name and identifying details.
- Assign a compatible tracker if the asset should report location or telemetry.
- Save, then upload supporting images. Mark one as primary for the list thumbnail.
Maintain the asset record
Schedule
Record inspections, renewals, servicing, or other date-based obligations.
Expenses
Log costs so they appear in the asset and organisation-wide maintenance view.
Pay-as-you-go organisations must enable map access with credits before an asset can be shown on Home.
Visibility
Users with restricted visibility only see assets assigned to one of their groups. If an expected asset is missing, check group membership before recreating it.
