Maintenance

Track renewals, service schedules, overdue work, and fleet expenses.

What is maintenance in Trakngo?

Maintenance is where you record the obligations and costs attached to your fleet, so servicing and renewals are tracked in the same place as location data.

Schedule item
Something due on a date—registration renewal, a service, or an inspection for one vehicle or asset.
Expense
A cost already incurred, recorded against the vehicle or asset it relates to.

Monitor fleet maintenance

Open Fleet → Maintenance for an organisation-wide view of registration, service schedules, and costs across vehicles and assets.

Add schedule items

  1. Open the organisation-wide Schedule, or open Schedule from one vehicle or asset.
  2. Select the entity and enter the service, registration, renewal, or inspection details.
  3. Set the due information and save. Update the item when work is completed or rescheduled.

Record expenses

Use Maintenance → Expenses to review costs across the organisation. Expenses can also be entered from an individual vehicle or asset so the cost remains connected to that record.

Permissions

The maintenance view permission allows users to review records. Creating and changing schedules or expenses requires the maintenance edit permission.
